I hope you'll love Sonlight as much as we do! What core did you end up getting? We got Core 3 for Lauren and Ashley will be doing books from Core K, but I will get most of those at the library. Starting with Core 1, she'll do all of the books b/c we already own from that core on. Your line-up looks a lot like ours. Sonlight for readers, read alouds and history. Math-u-see for math. Land Animals of the 6th Day for science (from Apologia). We use First Language Lessons for lang. arts.

This is our first year buying a "boxed" curriculum for Darci. We're going with Switched On Schoolhouse by Alpha Omega because I heard it is very self-directed. It is my goal in life to be the first mother ever to homeschool her children without personally having to teach them a single thing ;) I haven't researched enough yet to decide whether we should go with the CD's or the online version. Math, Language Arts, History, Science, and Bible are included. Additionally, she'll do book club, piano, choir, AWANA, swimming, and misc. art and writing projects of her own choosing. We are such geeks to take this much pleasure in systematically listing our curriculum choices!

HI, Amy

It was fun seeing you at the park today. By they way, we love the Apologetics Elementary series for science. We are reading the Astronomy one. tara

Maybe we'll see you at gym time in the fall?
